What a week!

What do they say...bad things happen in three? I hope not. Two have put me to my stress limit for now. Okay to start off Tuesday night Eric played flag football with all of his friends. Eric is known for getting hurt when he plays! He made it home in one piece and we hit the hay. About 1:30 that night I woke up to Eric laying on the floor in terrible pain. He claimed it was his back muscles and that he was going to take a shower and he would feel better. Well 5 showers later I was driving him to the ER(and not fast enough..as he would say)! So by 9:00 the next morning Eric passed or birthed a 4 mm kidney stone. He keep telling me that he was having twins because it hurt so bad. I am such a bad wife...I couldn't help but giggle a few times that night. What?... I have given birth to a 9 pound baby and made it through 2 Gallstone attacks 3 weeks after giving birth. And finally to end up getting my Gallbladder removed. So we made it through that event.
Next...I got a call this morning about 5 minutes after Eric had left for work. It was one of those calls that you know something is wrong. He had wrecked his new truck! It's not that bad, but I think it always seems worse when it is a new car. I still haven't seen the damage and maybe I don't want to. I am so glad he is okay. It's just a truck that can be fixed, right?
So I guess there are worse things that could happen but emotionally and physically I am spent! I need some R&R, a pedicure, message, new clothes and all those other things that make you feel better in times like this. Anyone up to joining me?( in the activities...not the stress)

Happy Birthday Joe!

It would be my Grandpa's Birthday today. He died last year and we miss him so much. He loved Lucy like she was his own. He had never been around a new baby. He was so interested in her growing and learning. Joe always told me that Lucy was too advanced...that she was growing too fast. I agree! We love you Joe, and there isn't a day that goes by that we don't think of you and miss you.

E-I-E-I-O

Yes...along with all the other 2 million people...tonight we went to the Staheli Farm! We had so much fun with Brian, Marcie and MaKenna. It seems that we don't get together enough anymore. The girls had a blast and loved the animals. The donkey sneezed in Kenna's face so she wasn't too fond of the rest of the petting zoo. Lucy doesn't get to play with any girls because all of you have boys so it is fun to get together. Although I have to admit...MaKenna is the one who taught Lucy to play in the dirt! Well that's all for tonight...until next time.

Cousins

These are some fun pictures of Lucy and her cousins. It is always fun for her(and me) to have them in town. Maybe I am crazy or something but the more kids that are around Lucy the less I have to worry about her. She stays so busy and so happy. Is that the answer...lots of kids?

Esme?!

Okay, so a couple of weeks ago I finished Twilight & New Moon. I started Eclipse and have only gotten through the first couple of chapters. I guess I am savoring the last for the next year or so until "Edward's Perspective" comes out! I ran across this quiz and thought it was fun to play in the fantasy world of Romantic Vampires...

You're Esme Cullen - Your maternal instinct to take care of people and be kind draw people towards you. You're compassionate and loving, yet firm when you need to be. You appreciate hard work and value the beautiful results of your dedication to any project.

Don't leave home without us!

Last Wednesday both Eric and Dusty were out of town so Cari and Tryston came over to play for a while. It was getting late so Lucy borrowed Tryston some PJ's. Cari couldn't resist adding some bows to his hair to top off the transformation. Tryston didn't seem to mind it at all...and Lucy loved having a girl to play with(all she plays with are boys). Sorry Dusty...I guess that will teach our husbands to not leave home without us! Who knows what kind of trouble we can get into.

Girls Weekend!

Last weekend all of my sisters-in-law, mom and I went to Arizona and surprised my sister Shenise. It is so hard to keep a secret from her...and she rarely is surprised! We ate, shopped and ate some more. It was so fun to be together without all the kids and husbands. I was the driver and by the end of the trip we had driven 575 miles in just 4 days. I guess that's what you do when you live in a big city.
